/"Expresso" espresso cups

Moulded from a 3D print.
The design is translated in a computer drawing and then printed trhrough Laser sintering technique in a 3D model.
From this model the moulds are made.
The shape of "expresso" is derived from old dutch handmade cups that were shaped round at the bottem and triangular at the rim, allowing good stirring and drinking.
The design of the ear and saucer are dirived from industrial details in metal.
The shape allows efficient spacesaving stacking on top of an espresso machine because of the triangular shape of the cups.

available from oktober.

/HedgeHog Cup

Exploring the possibilities of 3D printing , buroJET asked TNO Industrie to find out the oppurtunities of printing with ceramic materials especially porcelain.
We created designs that are impossible to make with normal mouldmaking and could be made with 3D printing techniques.

One of the first designs is the HedgeHog cup a porcelain cup that will insulate your hand from the hot content of the cup.

 to be continued....

/Exhibition design for
 OK-Festival
buroJet and Jorine Oosterhoff were asked by Graphic design firm OK-Parking to create an exhibition design for the OK-Festival - 3 days of magazines.
We created an exhibition for 100 independent international magazines, a temporary shop for Athenaeum bookshop Amsterdam, an exhibition for  print company Extrapool their publications, and some special one off unique magazines made by graphic designers from Artez Academy.

The exhibition was repeated during the Graphic Design Festival in Breda, and is expected to travel abroad.

The complete exhibition was made out of EPS boxes and post-it notes on all walls, as the exhibition had to be build up and broken down in a very limited time frame.
